Authors

Abstract
Mustard (Brassica spp.) is a
significant crop due to its use as an oilseed worldwide and its culinary
applications. However, its production is severely hampered by various pests and
diseases, which can drastically reduce yield and quality. This review explores
the genetic improvement of mustard plants for enhanced resistance to these
threats, focusing on conventional breeding techniques, genetic engineering, and
the integration of new biotechnological tools.
