Abstract
The increasing interest in the aquaculture of
Jagora species, particularly in marine and freshwater environments,
necessitates a deeper understanding of their health management. This article
provides a comprehensive overview of disease dynamics and immune responses
within cultured populations of Jagora species. We aim to delineate the common
pathogens affecting these populations and detail the innate and adaptive immune
mechanisms employed by Jagora species to combat these threats. This synthesis
is intended to support the development of more effective disease prevention and
treatment strategies in aquaculture settings.
